Service Description
Discover the joys of pottery making with our Individual Wheel Thrown Course specially designed for beginners. Pottery is not only a relaxing activity but also a creative outlet. Through five engaging sessions, you'll embark on a journey to develop your pottery making skills. Each session builds upon the previous one, offering a comprehensive learning experience. From clay preparation to utilising pottery tools, you'll learn the foundations of the craft. Explore the various stages involved in pottery making and master the art of transforming clay into beautiful cylindrical shapes using the potter's wheel. Progress to crafting basic pottery shapes like mugs, cups, bowls, and vases. Learn the intricate technique of trimming a foot rim and culminate your learning journey with an exploration of glazes and glazing techniques. By the end of the course, you'll have the knowledge and ability to add your personal touch to your pottery pieces through glazing. All tools, clay, glaze and 2x firing included. Please be advised that this workshop is for individual participation only and is suitable for beginners aged 16 years and over.
